Entomatadas are a typical Mexican dish made of a folded corn tortilla which has first been fried in oil and then bathed in a tomato sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, onion, oregano, chile serrano and salt.

Enfrijoladas are one of Mexico’s most common ‘dinner in a hurry’ meals of warm corn tortillas drenched in a chili-infused bean puree.

We are living in a time of upheaval. Hyper-partisanship, increased outward racism, immigration hysteria, global meltdown, the suicide epidemic. How has this taken a toll on our society? In an effort to bridge the great divide that currently exists, I will explore how indigenous his/herstory traditions and practices can provide a healing reprieve during this turbulence. Are we open to taking a step back in time, for us to move forward? By embracing our cultural and ancestral roots we may discover an additional path to understand and heal together.
