Services

  • Class Projects or Papers

Students are encouraged to email La Casa, lacasa@iu.edu, to setup an appointment for interviews or photography requests. Walk-ins are discouraged.

  • Computer Facilities

La Casa is open during the academic year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, except for Fridays, when the center closes at 5 p.m. Summer and finals week hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Computers are available to students during open hours.

  • Library

A small collection of Latine-related books, magazines, and videos is housed within the center.

  • Tutoring

Services available at La Casa and across campus. For full list of tutoring subjects, locations, and times see Tutoring Resources at IU.

  • Interpreter Availability

Interpreters are available for Spanish-speaking visitors and parents. Note: A minimum of a one week notice is required.

Counseling Services

Counselors from the Center for Human Growth and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are available for those in need of a listening ear and/or supportive shoulder when faced by stress, challenges, or concerns. Private and confidential.

Gathering Areas

Comfortable rooms are available to study, meet for group projects, play games, or simply to hang out!

Student Employment Opportunities

La Casa/Latino Cultural Center employs students who are work-study eligible to staff the center, as well as developing programming and assisting with the daily operation of the center.
